Besides teaching, ability to guide MPhil and Docoral students will be an assest.The job also requires familiarity with working in multidisciplinary teams and willingness to perform routine administartive duties in an academic system. The School has a tradition of engaging in outreach work pre and post disasters and the incumbent should be able to lead student teams to disaster sites or work on hazard, risk and vulnerability analysis within the broad domain of disaster studies. Selected candidate will be expected to support the ongoing work of the Centre for Disaster Management. The Centre is moving rapidly towards offering its own Masters programme and the incumbent would be expected to contribute towards evolving the new curriculum. The selected candidate would be required to undertake regular enrichment of ongoing course content to ensure that the Centre and its programmes and courses are world class, comparable to global quality standards.
