Asian affairs from the mid-19th century onwards with special emphasis on their links with India, and preferably working on Maulana Azad's life, thought, political philosophy and his vision. Maulana Azad Fellows will make themselves available at the Institute regularly. They are expected to be persons of distinction with a considerable record of publication and/or substantial experience of teaching and research. The duration of the Maulana Azad Fellowship is for three years with no provision for extension. The date of commencement of the Fellowship will be when the Fellow submits a joining report to the Director, MAKAIAS.
