The more and other important information related to this job specified as Key Responsibilities: To facilitate, conduct and coordination of scientific research on exploration, conservation and use of agricultural biodiversity Organize, supervise and participate in the implementation of field activities related ICAR-Bioversity International work plan on panama wilt of banana, NUS & CWR, ES & ABD, CSB etc., To help in writing project proposals, identify thrust areas related to Agrobiodiversity. Conduct phytogeographical exploratory survey to identify and characterize Agri/Horti biodiversity and develop descriptors/DUS guidelines for the identified Agri/Horti species, landraces, wild relatives etc., Oversee and monitor data gathering and data entry into data bases and carry out advanced data analysis; The position is initially for one year with a probationary period of 3 months and extendable depending on performance of the incumbent and availability of funds. However the monthly remuneration is subject to UHS Bagalkot terms and conditions.
