Ministry of Railways and Govt. of Chhattisgarh entered in an MOU dated 27.02.2012 to take up these important Rail Corridor Projects on SPV model. Accordingly, SECL, IRCON and Govt. of Chhattisgarh formed two J V Companies called Chhattisgarh East Rail Limited (CERL) and Chhattisgarh East West Rail Limited (CEWRL). IRCON is entrusted the responsibility of execution work of both the corridors separately. In addition, land acquisition is also the responsibility of IRCON.
