CR.L.- SOCIO ECONOMIC OFFENCES (HONS.-I)
Max. Marks: 20 Max. Time: 1:30 Hrs.
Note: Answer any TWO questions out of three. All questions carry equal marks.
1. What do you understand by Socio Economic Offences? Give an outline of Socio Economic Offences prevailing in India. (Marks 10)
2. "Any young man who makes dowry a condition for marriage discredits his education and his country and dishonours womanhood. Young men who soil their fingers with such ill-gotten gold should be excommunicated from society."
In the light of this statement of Mahatma Gandhi discuss the problem of dowry in our society and also discuss the legislative measures taken to curb this evil. (Marks 10)
3. "The trafficking in human beings and their exploitation in varied forms by traffickers is the most despicable violation of human rights."
In the light of the above statement elucidate the problem of human trafficking as existing in India and the measures adopted by the Government of India and its agencies to tackle this problem. (Marks 10)
