SEMESTER VI ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

Note: Answer any TWO questions out of three. All questions carry equal marks.
1. "The founding document of the country has created three instrumentalities and entrusted them with certain basic powers. Abdication of these powers by any organ would be a betrayal of the Constitution itself." In the light of given statement:
a. Elucidate the meaning of abdication and excessive delegation. (Marks 03)
b. Discuss with help of case-laws, the restrictions and principles evolved by the Judiciary with respect to delegated legislation in India (Marks 07)
2. a. Trace the growth and development of Administrative Law in United Kingdom (Marks 03)
b. Examine the impact of the Doctrine of 'Rule of Law' on Administrative Law in England. Discuss the changing dimensions of Rule of Law and its application in India and the contemporary world. (Marks 07)
3. Write Short Notes on the following: (Marks 5×2=10)
a. Critical Examination of various definitions of 'Administrative Law'.
b. Need for Parliamentary Control over Delegated legislation and its Mechanism.
