1. "The inclusion of a fundamental rights chapter in the Constitution is in accordance with the trends of modern democratic thought. The object is to ensure the inviolability of certain essential rights against political vicissitudes." In the light of given statement elucidate the importance of fundamental rights in context to modern concept of Constitution. (Marks 10)
2. Discuss the meaning and extent of scope of the term under art.12 of Indian Constitution with the help of authoritative case law. Also discuss whether 'judiciary' is included within the meaning of the word 'state'. (Marks 10)
3. Write short notes on the following: (Marks 5×2=10)
a. Doctrine of waiver
b. Doctrine of severability
