1. "Public policies are the policy decisions taken by the public officials to promote public interest in any given area or matter of concern."
In the light of the above statement, define public policy and discuss the scope and significance of studying the same. (Marks 10)
2. "Given the staggering complexities of policy process, the 'stages model' of public policy-making simplifies the policy making process by breaking it down to a number of discrete stages."
In the light of the above statement, discuss the stages model of policy cycle framework by citing examples from Indian context of the actors and institutions involved in various stages of the policy process. (Marks 10)
